Özet This paper was aimed to modify gold electrode surface with a BODIPY derivative and to examine its electrochemical behavior on the modified surface. Firstly, a BODIPY derivative including azido terminal was synthesized and characterized with several techniques such as NMR, FT-IR, element analysis and melting point. For the electrochemical studies, a triple electrode system was applied, with Gold electrode, Ag/AgCl (in aqueous medium) or Ag/Ag+ (in non-aqueous medium) and a Pt wire. The modified surface has been characterized using different electrochemical techniques. Then, the morphologies of the bare and modified electrode surfaces were evaluated with Scanning Electron Microscopy and Atomic Force Microscope. The metal adsorption property of the modified surface was investigated by using a copper solution. Graphical abstract: [Figure not available: see fulltext.]
