Özet In this paper, the Bayesian and non Bayesian estimation problem of reliability, R = P(Y < X), will be considered when X and Y are two independent but not identically random variables belonging to the Gompertz distribution. The three estimation methods applied were the maximum likelihood, uniformly minimum variance unbiased, and Bayes estimators. A numerical illustration is used to compare the three different estimators.
