Aesthetic Rehabilitation of an Anterior Polydiastema Case with Direct Composite Resin Restoration: A Case Report

Özet Diastemas are spaces between teeth that are too small to add another tooth. More than one diastema, which is common, is called "polydiastema". Polydiastema; may occur due to genetics, bad habits or systemic diseases. In this case report; the treatment of polydiastema in the anterior region with direct composite resin restorations is described. A 39-year-old female patient was admitted to our clinic because of the gap between her maxillary teeth. The treatment options were evaluated with the patient and it was decided to close the diastemas with direct composite resin restoration. After the restoration was completed, finishing and polishing procedures were done. In the clinical evaluation made 1 month later; The physical properties, marginal integrity and aesthetic properties of the restorations were checked. It was determined that the restorations made in the control examination met the aesthetic expectations of the patient.
