Treatment of Wedge Lateral Anomaly with Composite Restoration: A Case Report

Özet This case report to present conservative treatment of wedge-shaped lateral teeth deformities and diastemas with direct composite restorations. An 18-year-old patient with no systemic disease applied to our clinic with aesthetic complaints. After explaining the treatment methods that can be applied to the patient, it was decided to use direct resin composite for aesthetic restoration of the teeth. Wedge laterals were restored with composite resin (Essentia Starter Kit Syringe, GC, Tokyo, Japan) using a silicone wrench. After the restoration was completed, finishing and polishing were done. In the clinical evaluation made after 18 months; The physical properties, marginal integrity, and aesthetic properties of the restorations were checked. It was determined that the restorations made in the control session met the aesthetic expectations of the patient. In this case report, the treatment of conical tooth anomalies with composite resin restorations gave clinically sufficient results in terms of physical properties, marginal integrity and aesthetic properties.
