Özet Aim: Replantation; it is defined as the intentional extraction of teeth and their repositioning into the extraction socket that have lost their periodontal support after the completion of the root canal treatment. In this way, the aesthetic and function of the patient is restored. In this case report, a 10month clinical and radiological report of the replantation of the maxillary central incisor is presented. Material Method: A systemically healthy, non-smoker 41-year-old female patient was referred to our clinic with complaints of mobility in her central incisor and gingival bleeding in the relevant region. As a result of the clinical and radiological examination of the patient, severe periodontal destruction, deep periodontal pathological pockets and accompanying Miller Class III mobility were detected. Root canal treatment of the relevant tooth was completed during Phase 1 periodontal treatment, which includes scaling, root planning and oral hygiene motivation. Then the tooth was kept in tetracycline HCl (100mg/ml) solution for 5 minutes. After washing in sterile saline solution, it was placed in the extraction socket and temporarily splinted with adjacent teeth. Results: At the end of the 10-month follow-up, it was observed that the inflammation was resolved in the relevant region, the pathological pockets were eliminated, and there was radiologically significant bone gain. It was noted that no complications developed during this period and the patient was satisfied with the treatment. Conclusion: Replantation of periodontally hopeless teeth is considered to be a remarkable treatment approach because it is completed in a short time, is economical, provides aesthetics, and also positively affects future implant surgery by preventing bone resorption and providing bone gain.
