Özet Manipulation is a widely used technique in the field of visual arts, especially in graphic art. There are digital applications of this technique in contemporary sculpture art. Recently, there are artists who combine three-dimensional traditional forming methods with photo manipulation techniques in their work. In this case, it creates a tendency toward a new form of expression in the art of sculpture. Yuichi Ikehata, who is technically separated from these artist examples and combines with the discipline of digital sculpture, differs in this field. Using the technique of photo manipulation, the artist questions a relationship between reality and fictional-digitized structure in sculptures. This fictional and constructive structure consists of the reflection of reality on sculptures with digital technique. In this study, photo sculptures in contemporary sculpture art, photo manipulation technique, and the effect of this technique on contemporary sculpture will be examined technically. In this context, the relationship and examples between artworks and manipulation will be evaluated first, then current manipulation techniques and practices in sculpture art are mentioned, and it is aimed to evaluate the subject through Ikehata's sculptures.
