Özet Suer aramagnetic iron oxide nano articles (S IONs) were modified with [3-(2,3-e oxy ro oxy) ro yl] trimethoxy silane, which resulted in formation of e oxy grou s on the articles surface. The e oxy functionalized S IONs can bind to human serum albumin (HSA). The binding amount of HSA to e oxy modified S IONs was found to be as 32.7M for 1 mg e oxy modified S IONs at 280 and 342 nm of excitation and emission wavelengths by using fluorescence s ectrosco y. Interaction of ketoconazole with HSA immobilized e oxy functionalized S IONs was studied at 300 and 390 nm of excitation and emission wavelengths, res ectively. Binding mechanism of ketoconazole and HSA was identified by Stern-Volmer equation. Thermodynamic arameters (H,S andG) were also estimated for the interaction. Therefore, the nature of the binding forces was found to be as hydro hobic interaction. rotein and drug attachments were also examined by Infrared s ectrosco y (IR) and Scanning Electron Microsco y (SEM).
