Özet Purpose: The prognostic value of hematological and biochemical parameters of patients were evaluated at the time of admission who were treated with thrombolytic therapy in acute ischemic stroke. Materials and Methods: In this study, 101 stroke patients who treated with intravenous thrombolytic therapy were included. After clinical evaluation and neuroimaging, hemoglobin, leukocyte, platelet, blood sugar, kidney and liver function tests and cholesterol levels were tested. Demographic characteristics, the time to start treatment, presentation symptoms, stroke scales (NIHSS), hemorrhagic transformations, mortality and functional conditions of discharge were recorded. The relationship between vascular risk factors and blood test results with discharge functional conditions were evaluated. Results: There were 63 male and 38 female patients in this study. The mean age was 60.49±12.58. The most common symptom was motor deficit (92.1%). Especially anterior vascular ischemia areas were determined (78.3%). 30.7% hypertension, 40.6% diabetes mellitus, 35.6% hyperlipidemia, 49.5% smoking, and 19.8% stroke were detected in past story. The mean NIHSS score at admission was 10.62±4.44; on discharge was 6.96±3.85. During follow-up, 12.9% hemorrhagic transformation and 11.9% death were detected. 21.8% of patients were not dependent and 42.6% were partially dependent on discharge. There was a positive correlation between vascular risk factors and functional dependence (r=0.69; p<0.001). Functional disability was associated with high leukocyte, high alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and low glomerular filtration rate (GFR) levels (p<0.001; p<0.001; p=0.04). Conclusion: Intravenous thrombolysis is an effective treatment in the first 4.5 hours for ischemic stroke. Functional status of discharge can be predicted with leukocyte, ALT, GFR levels and amount of vascular disease risks.
