Özet
An assessment was made of the energy efficiency, benefit/cost ratio and labour requirements for the production of raisin using organic and conventional farming techniques. Total energy requirement under organic raisin farming was 22,204.94 MJ ha-1 whereas 28,903.30 MJ ha-1 was consumed under conventional farming system. Organic raisin production was 23% more energy efficient than conventional production. The labour input per hectare was higher for organic systems compared with conventional production. The share of renewable energy input use in the total energy input is 23.92% on organic production and 6.27% on conventional production. © 2006 Asian Network for Scientific Information.
