Özet
Excessive use of Diuron (DU), a herbicide type used worldwide, poses a serious threat to the ecosystem and human health by causing water, air, and soil pollution. In recent years, Zeolitic Imidazolate Frameworks (ZIF-8) have been used as environmentally friendly materials in the encapsulation, transportation, and controlled release of many drugs in different fields. In this study, DU was encapsulated with Zn-based MOF in the presence of Fe3O4 by interacting with p-sulfocalix[4]arenedicarboxylicacid (SCX4). The prepared nanocomposites (KMP-2 with SCX4 and KMP-1 without SCX4) were characterized with FTIR, 1H NMR, SEM-EDX, VSM, and XRD. The Fe3O4-encapsulated MOFs (KMP-1 and KMP-2) exhibited high magnetic properties of 50 and 35 emu/g, respectively, despite a decrease in saturation magnetization by VSM analysis. The loading efficiency of DU in KMP-1 and KMP-2 nanocomposites was calculated as 55 %, and 73 % respectively. In in vitro studies conducted with Chenopodium album, KMP-2 had the highest retainment in the soil, and its soil permeability was 8 times lower than DU. This study aims to provide a solid foundation for a sustainable future by offering impressive solutions for DU's goals of reducing its environmental impact and cutting costs.
